Install burg bootloader in ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot


Here is a way by which you can install burg bootloader in ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot

Open up the terminal and type in the following commands

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ingalex/super-boot-manager
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install burg

That’s it…while installing it will ask for selecting the hard-disk/partition for installing the burg.

    Thanks. Does Burg work with Xubuntu 11.10? It seems that it has not been modified for oneiric yet? Kindly reply.

      Yes, it will work perfectly with xubuntu 11.10. Burg has nothing to do with ubuntu release cycle but requires ppa for ubuntu release.
